Yanukovych’s supporters from Crimea on their way to Kyiv appear to have changed their direction.

As Kirovohrad region drivers report, columns of buses with Crimean license plates escorted by road police are now heading away from Kyiv.

We would like to remind that yesterday Maidan’s hotline received information from the Kherson region about a considerable number of buses heading towards Kyiv. Earlier we received information about the transfer of almost 100 buses from Sevastopol.

It is probable that the columns of people that wanted to participate in the "blue" counter-revolution returned home, disappointed with Yuschenko's obvious victory of during the December 26 election. The situation would have been different had the gap between Yushchenko’s and Yanukovych’s results been smaller.

This morning there were reports of the movement of columns of military vehicles in “winter” outfit from a military base in Sviatoshyno, Kyiv. There is also information that Kyiv region road police received instruction not to allow protesters into Kyiv, and to be prepared to block roads with trucks and other heavy vehicles. At the moment, there is no information as to the aim of such instructions, since the columns of the “blue” were moving in an organized manner and were escorted by road police vehicles.

We are waiting for additional information on this subject.
