Yulia Tymoshenko Warns Agaist Premature Celebration

The co-chairperson of People Power coalition, Yulia Tymoshenko, has warned supporters of presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko that their euphoria is premature.

"We have only passed the first phase of the fight for freedom and democratization of Ukraine. This phase was difficult. The revolution is not over, and we have not yet won but we have taken the first step and now have the opportunity to win."

She also noted that she is not pleased with the early jubilation among some politicians.

Mrs. Tymoshenko said that the campaign of Viktor Yanukovych was being reorganised. She stressed that Yanukovych has two campaigns - the official one headed by Taras Chornovil and another in the shadows which is co-ordinating all the work which is rumoured to include sinister plans.

There already has been information circulating that Yanukovych's team is again (albeit on a larger scale)preparing to engage groups of people for the purpose of vandalising and destroying polling stations where Yushchenko is winning, for example, in Kyiv.
