Yulia Tymoshenko stated that the blockade of government buildings will not be removed until all the demands related to the re-election of the President have been met.
At her press conference, Tymoshenko called for all to "more calmly receive [or listen to]" the points of the joint statement by Yushchenko, Kuchma, and the Western mediators about the immediate end to the blockade of government buildings.
"For this point to have legitimacy, they forgot to invite Maidan to its signing," said Tymoshenko. "The representatives of Maidan asked to pass on to you that they are not being directed by the politicians, but by the interests of Ukraine."
"Maidan will not go anywhere [from here], in no way will it be extinguished until it gets the Ukraine the people have dreamed about. I am convinced that people will not leave the Maidan [Independence Square] until they hear that Yushchenko has become President," she also said.
Tymoshenko even warned, "If Viktor Andriyovych [Yushchenko] tries to stop Maidan, he will not be able to do anything. They will not listen to any politician and will do what they deem necessary."
At the same time, she accused Leonid Kuchma of dragging out the negotiations with Viktor Yushchenko.
"One person is holding back the announcement of the Presidency of Yushchenko -- that is Kuchma. He is not upholding the agreed-upon structure of the Central Election Commission (CEC), he is not signing the decree about the dismissal of the government, he is not signing the changes to the law about the election of the President," stated Tymoshenko at her press conference.
"The President is trying to change the priorities, to bring everything to the level of political reform, thus consolidating his camp. This trick of his will not work!" she warned.
Tymoshenko announced that the coalition "Power of the People" [Syla Narodu] is planning to "culminate all negotiations with the government within one-two days," and if they fail, will go on to decisive measures.
"We have the majority to pass changes to the law on elections, which permit re-election. Also, to the end of the day we will move for an ammendment to the Constitution, and an absolute condition is that it will come into effect after January 1, 2006."
"If the changes which we and Moroz are proposing will not be accepted, we will not permit the drawing out of this process," Tymoshenko said.
She also announced the formation of a new majority under President Yushchenko. "Already today-tomorrow we will be able to speak about such a majority," said Tymoshenko. "In the next few days we will present the makeup of the government trusted by the people," she added.
"If Kuchma does not sign immediately [the laws about the formation of the government trusted by the people -- uriad narodnoyi doviry], the people will not tolerate any politician. People will says this clearly and radically."
Tymoshenko said that the "major moment [will be] the decision of the Supreme Court."
To the question of what to do if the Supreme Court does not decide that the election was fraudulent, Tymoshenko stated, "It does not matter if this will be accepted by the politicians or not. It is important if it will be accepted / satisfy the people."
"If the Court does not decide that the election was falsified, I think that the people will take that very badly, and the actions of the people will be difficult to control."
Tymoshenko also stated that it was she who opened the doors of the Parliament to the people, when on Tuesday people tried to enter the Verkhovna Rada. "When the people peacefully -- and I emphasize, peacefully -- tried to enter the Parliament, this was a fundamental break in the situation," she added.
