Military officers and ensigns support Yuschenko as a president

Officers and ensigns of the military unit D0090, which belongs to the Ministry of Emergencies, declared their support to Victor Yuschenko as a president.

At the common meeting they unanimously approved the decision to support Victor Yuschenko as a legally elected president, to be loyal to their military oath towards Ukrainian people and to condemn the attempts to put a pressure on the military during the second round of the presidential elections.

Officers and ensigns also called to the command and personnel of the Ministry of Emergencies, Defence Ministry, Service of Security of Ukraine, Ministry of Interior “to support the choice of our people which was to elect Victor Yuschenko as a President, and, if needed, to stand in defence of the constitutional rights of the Ukrainian citizens”.

In the meantime, the military of the Lviv garrison declared their solidarity with the people. In their appeal to the Ukrainian people they stressed that no circumstances will force them to betray the words of their military oath, according to which they serve the Ukrainian people.
