Former Yugoslav leader Slobodan Milosevic has been found dead in his prison cell in Hague. Details about his death are not immediately available.
Milosevic was imprisoned and being tried for war-crimes during a campaign of ethnic cleansing and alleged genocide in Yugoslavia in the late 1990s. Those events sparked controversial NATO intervention in the former Soviet territory. A close ally of Milosevic, convicted war criminal Milan Babic, recently committed suicide in his prison cell in Hague.
