Press Office of Bishop-elect Makarios. March 1, 2005. The Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church - Canonical mission in Chile is beginning a campaign to raise funds for the construction of a suitable church. Our community is registered by the Chilean government. At present, our clergy consists of Bishop Georgios, Bishop-elect Makarios, Father Andres, Deacons Elias and Gaspar, Monk Serafin
and Reader Emmanuel. Our Church is experiencing an unprecedented growth in religious vocations and faithful entering our Church. It is our hope that through the building of our new church we will give witness to the presence of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church - Canonical which exists in Chile along with ten other Orthodox Churches. We ask for your prayers and look forward to our brother priests and bishops from other countries visiting us in Chile.
