Greetings and warm regards to everyone. I live in New Zealand where it is summertime and the temperature are in the high 20s. I would like to know if there are any Ukrainians living in New Zealand who take part in this forum.

Ukrainians in New Zealand

Just found this site, but I see that the comments are over a year old. So I am not sure if this site is even still active. I am of Ukrainian decent, when we lived in Rochester my Grandmother would take us to the festivals and church, but we moved and we have lost touch with our heritage. So I have been trying to look into it on my own now when I have time. I didn't know if there were any Ukrainian festivals in New Zealand or not, if there are, I would be very interested in attending.

I'm not sure about New Zealand - haven't heard about anyone active in Maidan discussions from there (there was, though a woman from Australia - she might end up showing up here sooner or later), I personally am from Canada.
Please be patient with the lack of bursting activity here - this English forum is very new, so it might take time for people to catch up with the news and to appear here.

Thanks for your reply Mary-on-the-run !! Yes I do know that this forum is new . I know are many(quite a few -rather) Ukrainians living here but unfortunately we have not even a loose organisation of Ukrainians in New Zealand. This is a great pity. We envy the close connections of Ukrainians in Canada. Amongst other things I am particularly interested in Ukrainian folk music and Ukrainian embroidery. Maybe you would like to correspond?
